Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating around the world. 🙂
Tim and I got back a week ago from Lebanon to sort out my new travel document. I had a travel document that was only handwritten in Arabic and French.
Travelling and applying for visas were always complicated so the Lebanese consulate in UAE announced that they now provide a bio-metric passport for Palestinian Refugees which is being issued in Lebanon. The previous one was brown and was a hard booklet but the new one is a passport size with a chip so it makes my travel much easier. Immigration will now have to scan my passport and will no longer have to enter my data manually in the system.
I’m glad to be back in Dubai to sort out the other things but this was a major thing that I needed to finish off before everything else. Since I’m a Palestinian refugee from Lebanon, we have a card issued by the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) which states my origin. Since I got married, I needed to issue a new UNRWA card and register Tim as my spouse.
So that’s what I’ve been working on for 10 days and thank God, everything got sorted according to plan. Tim’s mum visited Lebanon and I managed to show her around after all the paper works. Here I am back to blogging and back to social media.
Hope you are all doing great. Xx
