Kayaking in Hatta

Hey Guys,

Bellion Travels is somehow back. Last month, Tim, my brother and I drove to Hatta to check out the Hatta Dam. It’s takes 90 minutes from the main city of Dubai. However, we drove to Sharjah and headed to Hatta from there.

We got there at 11AM and left the place at around 3PM. Each one of us took a single kayak which costs around AED 60 each (approx. £11) for unlimited time. There are other activities such as double kayak, water bike, pedal boat, yellow boat, donut boat and tour boat.

The place was surreal and so calm. I took out my phone and played some 70’s music and just kayaked away. I highly recommend the place. You can also check out the village near by, the fish and vegetable market which is walking distance from the place. If you ever want to stay in Hatta, there’s the Hatta Fort Hotel. Tim and I stayed there for the weekend in 2015. I avoid posting about it because they’ve renovated the hotel and looks different from the time we visited.

We later stopped for lunch with my brothers friends and had shawarma and tabouleh. I highly recommend it and we will be visiting the place once the weather gets better.

90’s Nostalgia

The first weekend after our trip to Spain was one crazy weekend and one of the best days of my life. I attended the BACKSTREET BOYS concert. YES! You read that right. I WENT TO A BACKSTREET BOYS CONCERT.

It was EPIC. They sang all their hits and it felt like the 90s again. You can barely spot a teenager at the concert. Just 20’s – 50’s enjoying music sang by the legendary pop boy band. Another cool thing about the concert was MEL C FROM SPICE GIRLS. Who also performed and sang one of the girl band hits, she also sang covers of famous songs and her own songs from her solo album. AHHH!!! It was  perfect weekend spent with my girlfriends and uncle.

March 2018 Recap

I know that it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged so here is a recap if what has happened in the month of March.

Destinations we’ve visited

  • Barcelona, SpaiN
  • Gran Canaria, Canary Island also Spain
  • Between Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Highlights of the month

  • We’ve officially moved to Abu Dhabi
  • Our move wasn’t pleasant. The person in charge happened to have an emergency and left to his home country 3 days before our move and the person who handled our move was not efficient at all. The movers arrived at our Dubai flat at 7:45 PM. After some of our things were moved to the truck, they arrived to our Abu Dhabi home at 1 AM. We also had work the next day so nothing went according to plan and the house was in a chaotic state. It took us 2 weeks just moving furniture and yup, they broke some of our furniture.
  • We travelled to mainland Spain to take an internal flight to Gran Canaria to celebrate Tim’s dad’s 70th Birthday.

What have we watched?

NOTHING. We were too busy unpacking and fixing the damages.

What I read this month?

Started reading the ‘The Travels of Ibn Battuta’ by Tim Mcakintosh Smith

What have I blogged in March?

Nothing LOL.

I promise I will get back to blogging.

So, we currently have 3 more boxes to unpack which are mainly books and our new home will start looking like a home.

We were active on Instagram with our latest travels and we’ve been posting new pictures. Now that we are connected to the internet, I’ll be back to blogging ASAP.
