5 Malls to Visit in Abu Dhabi

Hopefully when the lock-down is over and the virus is gone and everyone is safe and healthy; we will all be able to go out and have a cup of coffee at coffee shops and do a little shopping at malls. So I wanted to share with you the top 5 Malls to visit in Abu Dhabi.

5. Marina Mall: Love the location of the mall.

4. Yas Mall: It has Clymb and Ferrari World

3. Wahda Mall: Parking can be an issue but it has a good selection of stores if your main purpose is just SHOPPING.

Sorry I do not have any pictures. I only go there for shopping purposes.

2. Abu Dhabi Mall: They have variety of stores and restaurants and also the location is really good.

AL AIN: Cycling in Al Ain Oasis

An amazing historical place to visit in the UAE. It is approx. 3000 acre and it was built to tame the desert.

Tim and I rented a bicycle for an hour to ride around the oasis rather than walking it. Honestly, you can do both and it’s massive. Around the oasis, there are museums and art galleries to stop and see.

I highly recommend you visit Al Ain Oasis, I guarantee you will have a good time.

ABU DHABI: Mangrove Walk

The Mangrove Park  opened earlier this year and it was built on Al Jubail Island. The gates open at 8AM and close at 5PM. So to avoid the crowd due to the Covid-19, we decided to visit the park at 8AM LOL. By the way, there is no entrance fee and food and drinks are not allowed and they have a couple coffee shops at the entrance of the park. Other than that just enjoy the walk and we recommend to visit when it is high tide.

It was a beautiful morning walk and very surreal.

ABU DHABI – EMINEM Return Concert

Yup! Eminem performed in Abu Dhabi AGAIN!!!!! This was my first Eminem concert and we had an awesome time. The show was phenomenal and we really had a great time.

However, the organisers did a horrible job. First, they locked the main gate to get to the concert which delayed the event. It was a 40 minute walk from the car to the concert. Afterwards, there was a long long long long……line which apparently did not lead to the entry gate. This situation delayed the concert and honestly, I do not want to talk much about it but like the say, the picture is worth a thousand words.

Other than that, EMINEM was AMAZING and we had a blast and we still can’t recover from the concert. It really was GREAT.

ABU DHABI – A Weekend at the Eastern Mangrove

We found a great deal on groupon that includes pool access, food and drinks all for AED 270 that’s approx. £60.

So on a Friday, we packed our beach bag and headed to the hotel at around 12 in the afternoon. We got lucky to find a spot right by the pool and has shade. We spent 6 hours swimming and eating. We had such a nice relaxing time. We had Lemonade and I ordered Mushroom Pasta and Tim had a Beef Burger.

Eastern mangrove is managed by Anantara Hotel and is connected to the residential building that has restaurants, coffee shop as well as Waitrose.

It’s a lovely hotel but it’s not the best one from all the other Anantara chains.

ABU DHABI – Dinner at Kuya Juan

Filipino restaurant in UAE that serves alcohol and pork so that is why a lot of Filipinos recommend it. I do not drink or eat pork but was like YEAAH LETS GIVE IT A TRY LOL.

Tim and I ordered seafood Kare Kare and Chicken Inasal Bacolod style hehe and had ensaladang talong and garlic rice as a side. We ended our meal with a dessert called Leche Flan.

Every night, the restaurant has a band that performs old songs and the vibe of the restaurant really does remind me of the Philippines.

Tim and I give 5/5 for the restaurants service. They are so nice and friendly and make sure you are happy and having a good time.

ABU DHABI – Yellow Chilli by Sanjeev Kapoor

Tim and I decided to hang out at Dalma Mall to be closer to Mitsubishi Service Centre to pick up his vehicle.

Sanjeev Kapoor 01

We were so hungry and we were meaning to try Yellow Chilli by Sanjeev Kapoor. It is an Indian restaurant located in the Mall and is also combined by a Chinese restaurant called Hong Kong. We felt like having Indian so we went for Yellow Chilli and honestly their food was delicious and they have one of the best Lassi’s in Abu Dhabi.

Hahahha we were so hungry, we didn’t take pictures of the restaurant and the food but here is a food blog for you LOL. Sorry

ABU DHABI – Dinner at Katsuya

Yas Mall opened a new Japanese Restaurant and damn it’s expensive. The restaurant is called Katsuya. Honestly, it should be under fine dining.

Katsuya04.jpg

Since I started a new job, I thought it would be a great idea to invite Tim for a meal. This time, I decided to go full on meat since I was treating Tim and he is not really fond of vegetarian dishes.

Katsuya05

While reading the chef’s signature dishes, I came across Black Cod which reminded me of Zuma. It’s my favourite dish from Zuma, I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Of course, I ordered the dish, it doesn’t taste as good as Zumas HOWEVER, it is the closest than any other restaurants I’ve tried and so was the price LOL.

Katsuya03.jpg

We also ordered Wagyu beef since Tim is a  massive red meat lover and I’m not but I gave it a try and the quality of the meat was fantastic.

Katsuya02.jpg

We also had crispy chicken and mochi for dessert. For drinks, we ordered Jasmine Tea and it was WOW.

Katsuya01.jpg

I highly recommend it but heads up, it’s extremely expensive.
