10 Things Not To Say To An Interracial Couple
Although I’m a mix of Filipino Palestinian, I ended up marrying an English guy so our household traditions is like Halo-Halo which means MIX-MIX. I always wanted to date someone outside my race because I find other cultures which are not similar to mine interesting but never ever in a million years, I would have thought I’d end up with a British man and I’m so happy and grateful for having him in my life.
When I told my family and friends that I was dating an English guy, some of them were not supportive and would throw comments here and there. So out of experience, here are the 10 Things Not To Say To An Interracial Couple because it could be rude.
How do your parents feel about you dating someone outside of your race?
Our parents want what is best for us. Some parents don’t take it well but trust me if it’s meant to be it will happen.
Thankfully our parents took it well. Thanks for asking.
I don’t think you should date someone out of your race.
You can’t tell us who to date and who not to date. Take care of your own Love Life, THANK YOU.
Don’t you want your kids to look like you?

What do you think your kids will identify as?
I’ve always wanted to date a (Racial Category) you’re so lucky.

It must be challenging dealing with different backgrounds.
Are you sure your relationship will work out?
Doesn’t matter the race. Even if you date or marry someone of the same culture, you still will need to maintain and work hard on your relationship.

The Eiffel Tower looks really bad but it was an experience and I’ve learned a lot of colouring techniques and I think I want to continue painting using water colour. There is a lot more to learn and since it was a class, the time was limited therefore I had to paint really fast.

April 2019 Recap
Lately, I’ve been feeling down. I miss my cat and I’m still trying to process it. So I focus my time and energy on Art. I’ve been going to art classes regularly.
Also, I’m still trying to find my passion and what I want to do. The issue is, I’m interested in a lot of things and I can’t focus on one thing but I’m working on various projects and at least it’s keeping me busy.
So here is a quick recap of what I’ve done, read, watched in the month of April.

Queer Eye (Season 3): I really enjoyed it. I also learned the french tuck from Tan
Santa Clarita Diet (Season 3): The series gets better and I’m so upset Netflix cancelled it

Bohemian Rhapsody: AMAZING !!!!! Rami Malik deserved that Oscar
The Green Book: I truly enjoyed this movie and I was shocked that it was based on a true story. THOUGH I REALLY LOVED THE MOVIE. Mahershala Ali is just AN AWESOME ACTOR.
Bad Times at the El Royale: Very Artistic and extremely unique. Watch it.
Movies I watched at the Theatre:
Shazam: DC really disappointed me but after watching Aquaman, we thought lets give DC another chance and SHAZAM was hilarious. I enjoyed that DC took a different approach to this movie.
Avengers Endgame: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. YES!!! IT IS 3 HOURS but it felt shorter. It was one HECK OF A MOVIE. Mixed feelings about the ending but LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT. LOVE IT 3000 TIMES
