BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: FEBRUARY & MARCH 2021

This blog is going to be different. Its been 5 months since I wrote my last blog and it wasn’t an interesting one, it was about January recap and here I’m writing about my Feb and March recap combined. Many things happened and we got so busy and didn’t have time to sit in front of the computer and type. Although I’m always using a computer, I actually don’t have time to work on personal stuff.

16th of February 2021 was my last working day with the previous company and on the 18th of Feb, I had a farewell drinks with few of my colleagues who I got along with. My new job started on 25th Feb 2021. I managed to have few days off to pack and move to Dubai. Since our place was not yet ready to be occupied, I stayed at my best friends place and I had to study and catch up with my assignments. In March Tim moved our stuff from Abu Dhabi to Dubai but since our electricity and water were not connected, we booked 4 – 5 nights at the hotel right near our new home.

We didn’t watch a lot of series and movies since all we did was pack and unpack and met with my family. We also bought new sofa and a dining table and few bits and pieces from the furniture store.

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: DECEMBER 2020

OMG! Today is the last day of 2020. It was such a weird year and I hated it. Besides the Virus, Explosion in Beirut, Kobe Bryant Death, Fire in Australia, Taal Volcano and many many many other tragedies… I hate it because I didn’t get to see our families. Tim couldn’t visit his family in the UK and what is even worse, I couldn’t visit my family in Dubai and we are in the same country. 

Anyway I am a strong believer that everything happens for good reason. So, I will state the big things that happened in the month of December under highlights and I will write a separate post about 2020. 

Destinations I’ve visited:

  • Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, United Arab Emirates

Highlights of the month:

  • Tim and I decided we should move back to Dubai.
  • BBQ with Mimi and Priyanka in Al Ain.
  • I got accepted at Heriot Watt Dubai. I enrolled for a Master Degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying.
  • I will start studying Hebrew as a 5th Language on January 2021. 
  • I turned 32 on Dec. 10
  • Celebrated my birthday at Emirates Palace (7 stars hotel)
  • Spend a night at Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: NOVEMBER 2020

Here I am blogging about November 2020 Recap on 30 Dec. 2020. I can’t believe we are approaching end of 2020. 

Today morning, my husband and I were discussing how we learned a lot from 2020 but also he said it was a useless year. We had a lot in mind, we were suppose to visit England to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday, we were suppose to travel to Colombia and this year was suppose to be the year our condo in Philippines will be handed over but none of that happened. We spent 99% of our time in Abu Dhabi. I have a lot that happened but that will be a December 2020 recap because weirdly it all happened in December.

So let me share a quick recap of our November.

Highlight:

  • We were asked by the Government to quarantine for 14 days wearing a tracker because we were exposed to someone with Covid.
  • I was quarantined for 21 days in the month of November because I met someone who had Covid. Thankfully, we had no symptoms and were tested negative.
  • November 2020 was mainly spent at home.

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: SEPTEMBER 2020

September was a busy month. Besides working late which became the new norm, Tim and I decided to drive around Abu Dhabi and explore new areas. We thought it would be great to see new places before we move back to Dubai next year.

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: August 2020

I’m writing this blog post with no enthusiasm but I need to keep the recap going. I personally don’t know if I want to continue with this blog or just focus my time on my current job. A job that doesn’t excite me. Anyway this is for another time to post about. 

Here is a quick recap of what happened in the month of August.

Highlights of the month:

  • My brother got engaged hence the reason we visited Sharjah and Dubai. Even though there is border control. 
  • Tim and I had to do a medical test to be able to cross the border and enter Abu Dhabi. Thank God! Our corona results were negative. 
  • I managed to take 2 weeks off after a whole year of working and for some reason the company I work for wants to illegally take away my remaining days off. Therefore, I have no other days off until next year.

Not much has happened. I have been working every single day until late night because of data migration at the office and other things that are happening.

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: June 2020

I don’t know what it is but lately, I haven’t been in the mood to do anything. I don’t want to read, I don’t want to blog, I don’t want to go out……

Tim thinks its the early stages of depression. I just believe the quarantine, the lock down (not being able to visit my family in the same country), my job and many other factors are the reasons behind my current mental state but it is mainly work. I’m overloaded with work and we haven’t taken an annual leave for more than a year. I have been having high blood pressure which causes dizziness and nausea. So, I’m avoiding people at the moment and been eating healthy, going for walks, drinking cool drinks and doing things to reduce my stress.

I’m working really hard to distress myself and I do want to blog and I do want to surround myself with positive energy. I am doing my best.

What I watched?

Series:

This is Us: I loved it from the moment the series started. Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia have such amazing chemistry. Sterling is so handsome lol.

Movies: 

Your Name: I cried a lot towards the end of the series. Love the story.

Rocketman: It was so good. It exceeded my expectation.

The Lion King: I preferred the cartoon but the movie made me so sad especially because they look real lol.

BELLION TRAVELS MONTHLY RECAP: May 2020

Honestly, quarantine and the curfew is getting to us. Especially that work increased and on top of that all, Tim and I didn’t take leave for a year. We were suppose to be in England in June and now all our travel plans are on hold.

We’ve been watching a lot of T.V and Netflix and we are getting bored. Summer is here and it’s just so hot to go outside for a walk.

Bellion Travels Monthly Recap: April 2020

Ramadan started and I’m finding it very difficult. Like, I’m not able to meet my family because of lock down. The curfew is at 10 PM and Iftar is at 7 PM and I still don’t trust staying at a hotel with all of this going on.

Working from home got extended to 21st May 2020 and honestly, I’m not looking forward to working from the office anytime soon. I found myself productive at home and I always have the energy to cook. I hate washing dishes though even with a dishwasher.

My update for the month of April is just about Movies and Series that I have watched while at staying at home.

Bellion Travels Monthly Recap: March 2020

Here we are entering Q2 of 2020. Time is insanely fast and with this virus that is all over the world. Everything is just INSANE. We’ve been staying at home for 2 weeks now and although we are working from home, I find plenty of time to focus on organising things, learning to cook, I found time to paint and read a book and just working on myself.

I will blog separately about things I have been doing at home but anyway here is a recap of March 2020.
